My Review

Amanda is making a new life for herself in a quaint Yorkshire village, her shop A New Lease of Life is named very aptly, is her new focus in life. Shes content and excited about the future until grumpy Ben makes an appearance. What with his staunch views of newcomers to the village! As a Yorkshire lass myself (transplanted to a small Yorkshire village from Dublin), I know only too well how hard it can be to fit into the ‘everyone knows everyone’ when nobody knows you! Rachel’s perfectly depicted the usual suspects of village life, from the busy bodies with hearts of gold to the strapping vet (we didn’t have one of those, mores the pity) and given Westfield and Amanda a very warm welcome! I think this book has a little something for us all, and I especially enjoyed Westfield and its residents!
